Module #1: Why in the World!?

It’s a question I constantly ask myself. “Why?” As I stated in the video, the bedrock and foundation of our creativity, life, and product boils down to our “why.” Our why is routed in our own personal story. The smart ones In the world discover their why out of their own story and that’s why the world gravitates so much to them and their products.

This is usually the beginning of “your” story. It’s the imprint of why you do what you do. As humans, we self medicate to numb ourselves from the hurt and pain of the past; afraid that everyone will find out what happened to us. We shield ourselves from embarrassment. Because of fear, we don’t let others and the world see or hear the real us.

Example of the process: My story was based out of my longing for acceptance and nurturing. As I sat above the cliff where I grew up, I was wrestling with my hurt and pain. I decided to take my pain and paint and tell the story in my journal. The journal pages came to life as mermaids and fairies. I didn’t care if people bought them, but they did. People gravitated to them more than any of my other paintings because I was vulnerable and shared my pain and joys.

The best part of the story is when it goes beyond just sharing your story with the world. You have to get to a point when people love your story and make it a part of their life, and then you can leverage the income and momentum to impact others.

So, here’s a nutshell of how I list my why or my mission statement. My name is Noah. I am a creative and a storyteller. I am an creative and visionary architect. I use creativity as a vehicle to let people around the globe know that they are loved by God. That they are important and matter and that God has a special plan for their life. I do this by sharing this message of hope through my creations of art, meeting people face to face through events, blogging, videos, and speaking live. I am in the business of not selling a product, but building relationships.

My why: I realize God has given me a gift to impact the world for His glory and purpose and I need to spread that love through my gifts. My life isn’t about products and things. As Simon Sinek wrote, “people don’t buy what you do they buy why you do it.”

My what/product: art, books I’m writing, and products I’m creating that tell my story and what I love.

My how: creating a community on my own website to allow me to share my vision and message the way I want to. My own world. I also share my “what” and “why” through unique events. I also share it all when I speak live. All aspects of my social media will be consistent to herald my story and “why” I do what I do.

Review:
Your story will surface as you ask tough questions and write what you’ve been through. You will realize eventually that you want to help heal others and give hope to others through sharing your experiences.

I ask you to take these questions, and if you’re comfortable, share some breakthroughs on our Facebook page. Keep in mind, the page isn’t for offering advice. It’s for sharing freely without criticism. It’s a place to be just you. I believe our most “wow” products are born from our deepest fears and hurts.

The world is begging for stories to be told. People are hurting. How can you spend your time, talent, and money to change the world where you can feel true significance rather than just success?

Take some answers and get quiet. I asked God to show me my life through His eyes and for me to let go of my selfish, egotistical view. I was sick of myself and my ways. I kept coming up empty. I cried out to Him and He showed me. Imagine the possibilities.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to hear what happens to you through this process. Did you get frustrated? Good! Talk about it in your pages. What would you like to change?

Don’t build a house or mansion, pick out the drapes and decorations only to realize you’re built it on sand. Build your brand and business or dream on the bedrock of truth and who you truly are. Anyone can be successful and just make money, but they miss out on so much.

Live the life you were designed to live. Get off the hamster wheel.

Blessings to you and glad you’re on the journey. You’re not alone!!!!
